A last note concerning elections

We have got to stop looking to the government to change this country, by which I mean its people. Politics don’t change people. Ideas change people, then people change politics.

  1. I like the point you make – it’s true, politics can change the ideas you have and your perception of the world but you are still the one with the power to make a difference. Although unfortunately, the ones with the power will usually end up deciding what’s going on, an especially unfortunate fact over here in England given the current line up for the election πŸ™‚ But anyway, good point well made.

      1. Well, there’s not much to know really, there’s Labour (left wing), and then the Conservatives (right wing) and the Lib Dems (they don’t know what wing) are in a coalition and don’t really like each other! It’s not very interesting really but the elections soon so we don’t have long left of them πŸ™‚

      2. Ha! Isn’t it interesting that nobody really seems to care about being on one side or the other until elections roll around, then suddenly everybody has “always” had completely opposing views about everything?
